• Investigation of the directional fatigue behaviour PBF-LM/18Ni300. Proposal a new test methodology for evaluating up- and down-skin fatigue. The is influenced by specimen orientation. Fatigue initiation observed from surfaces. Surfaces metals produced additive manufacturing (AM) are known to be rough populated with defects, this is, in particular, true downward-facing (down-skin) When dealing as-built surfaces AM, typically initiating surface defects. In work, maraging steel grade 300 (18Ni300) laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF-LB) investigated. built both This done using specimens where all machined, except one at interest.
